Input sought for Convention Forums

Tuesday, September 17 is Forum Day at UBCM Convention. Whether you are an electoral area director, urban mayor, councillor from a small community, or from somewhere in-between, there is a forum for you. Help shape the agendas for this year's forums by emailing your topic requests by Friday, July 5.

The four forums were created at the request of the membership, and are customized for specific types of local government:

  • Small Talk Forum unites the collective brainpower of communities with populations under 5,000.
  • Communities in the 5,000 to 20,000 population range put their heads together at the Mid-Sized Communities Forum.
  • Large Urban Communities Forum resonates with larger municipalities that face particularly urban concerns.
  • The unique concerns of regional district electoral areas focus the discussion at the Electoral Area Directors' Forum.
