Publishing Date

The Urban Communities Partnering for Reconciliation (UCPR) fund started in 2023 as a pilot program. We are pleased that this pilot has been extended and will continue with open intake. The fund is intended to support eligible Indigenous organizations and local governments to work together to create opportunities for in-person dialogue and relationship building which can help advance collaborative reconciliation plans, protocols, agreements or future projects.

Funding has increased to $15,000 per application. Applications will be accepted September 1, 2024 to August 31, 2025, funding permitting.

UCPR supports events and activities that provide a time and place for dialogue to build on opportunities, support reconciliation efforts, resolve issues of common responsibility, interest or concern, and/or to advance tangible outcomes.

Funding supports eligible Indigenous organizations and local governments to work together to create opportunities for in-person dialogue and relationship building which can help advance collaborative reconciliation plans, protocols, agreements or future projects.

Eligible activities include education and awareness, as well as cultural events and community gatherings.
