As part of Cybersecurity Awareness Month, the RCMP is hosting a webinar for public and private sector representatives, including local government staff and elected officials. The webinar takes place on October 25, 2022 (10:00 AM – 12:30 PM PDT), and will include presentations from subject matter experts on how to protect yourself and your organization from cybercrime.
The webinar is expected to include presentations on the following topics:
- The RCMP’s National Cybercrime Coordination Unit (NC3);
- Current cybersecurity threats to Canadians and Canadian organizations, and how to build resilience;
- Ransomware and the federal government’s Critical Cyber Systems Protection Act; and,
- The mandate and work of the RCMP’s new Crypto Operational Tactical Support Team.
