Publishing Date

Achieving innovation goals, whether you are a major city, a smaller town, or a rural community, requires time, talent, and budget. Mitacs, a national, not-for-profit organization that has designed and delivered research and training programs in Canada for 20 years, is now accepting research/innovation project proposals from Canadian local governments of all sizes.

By connecting communities to post-secondary researchers for innovative projects, Mitacs can help local governments with a range of issues including, but not limited to:

  • Infrastructure
  • Economic diversification
  • Emergency management and environmental resilience
  • Cybersecurity
  • Public health

Up to 55% financial support is available for projects. Applications will be received until November 2,2020. Learn more about how Mitacs can help your community.
