Registration of Off-Road Vehicles

WHEREAS with the exception of snowmobiles, there is no requirement to register off-road and all-terrain vehicles in British Columbia; AND WHEREAS the lack of registration makes it difficult to identify and recover stolen property and to identify those operating vehicles in a manner that causes damage to the land and contributes to the spread of noxious weeds: THEREFORE IT BE RESOLVED that the UBCM petition the provincial government to amend the Motor Vehicle All Terrain Act regulation to include the requirement to register all vehicles capable of off-road operation.
