Whereas the federal government announced it is participating in the UNs Decade of Action for Road Safety 2011-2020; And whereas many pedestrians are killed or injured in motor vehicle accidents, particularly at night due to a lack of visibility: Therefore be it resolved that UBCM request the federal Minister of Transportation and the provincial Minister of Transportation require a standard for reflective clothing, products and accessories for non-professional road users.
