Proposed FireRescue System Model

WHEREAS the Fire Services Liaison Group has prepared a draft Proposed FireRescue System Model for all firerescue service agencies across BC and distributed a copy of the proposed model to all local governments requesting comments prior to April 15, 2009; AND WHEREAS the Proposed FireRescue System Model prescribes a province wide training and administration standard as solution to numerable concerns: THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the Union of British Columbia Municipalities lobby the provincial government Fire Commissioners Office, to either completely fund all mandatory training or to design a multi tiered set of standards that can better address the needs of small, medium and large firerescue service areas across British Columbia.
