Implement Truth Reconciliation Commission Recommendations

Whereas the Truth and Reconciliation Commission released its summary report on Indian residential schools in Canada on June 2, 2015; And whereas the summary report contains 94 recommendations to achieve reconciliation with aboriginal and non-aboriginal Canadians; And whereas the summary report calls upon all levels of government and all Canadians to work together to secure a better future for all: Therefore be it resolved that UBCM call upon all levels of government to implement the recommendations of the Truth and Reconciliation Commission in as timely a manner as practical.
