Auditor General for Local Government

Whereas the membership of UBCM remains unsatisfied with the consultation with BC local governments surrounding the creation of the office of the Auditor General for Local Government AGLG; And whereas the provincial government has made a strong commitment to the ongoing work of the office of the AGLG; And whereas in the past year, the office of the AGLG has greatly improved its efforts to consult with BC local governments: Therefore be it resolved that UBCM acknowledge the continuing existence of the office of the AGLG and agree to work with the office to help ensure AGLG audits and best practice guides perspectives booklets provide maximum value to BC local governments.
