The Local Government RCMP Contract Management Committee (LGCMC) will be meeting on July 20, 2021. Local governments wishing to suggest discussion items related to the agreement under which the RCMP provides local police services to BC are asked to submit input to Bhar Sihota, UBCM Senior Policy Analyst, prior to July 2.
The LGCMC is a forum for consultation, analysis and communication between local governments, the Province and RCMP regarding the management of the RCMP police services contract. Committee meetings present an opportunity for members to analyze and respond to changes that may be proposed from time to time by the federal government and/or RCMP, and recommend changes to the federal government and/or RCMP that may be considered necessary or appropriate.
