Cullen Commission Public Meetings Underway Today

Publishing Date

The Commission of Inquiry into Money Laundering in British Columbia is holding a series of public meetings across the province. The Commission’s Terms of Reference require a review of the impact of money laundering on various economic sectors within British Columbia including gaming, real estate, financial institutions and professional services. The Terms of Reference also includes a review of the effectiveness of the regulatory agencies and individuals managing these activities.

These meetings are open to the public and provide an opportunity for local governments and community members to make a presentation to the Commission. Individuals and organizations who seek formal standing as participants at the Inquiry’s hearings (similar to parties in a court case), the Commission has published Rules for Standing
