Local governments are invited to submit an expression of interest to participate in the Inclusive Climate Action for Tunisian Municipalities (ICATM) program, which runs from March 2024 to February 2029. Implemented by the Federation of Canadian Municipalities (FCM) and its Tunisian partner, the International Development Center for Innovative Local Governance (CILG), this initiative focuses on strengthening the climate resilience of Tunisian municipalities while promoting equity and inclusion.
Participating Canadian and Tunisian municipalities will collaborate on training, capacity building, and community-led climate adaptation projects, with an emphasis on sustainable solutions such as improved water management, biodiversity preservation. The program also aims to foster inclusive decision-making, with a particular focus on women, youth, the elderly, and marginalized groups that are disproportionately affected by climate change.
Expressions of interest are due by January 21, 2025. Additional information is available through FCM, and a bilingual webinar will be held on January 14, 2025 from 11 am to noon PST. Advanced registration is required.
