Former ministers to provide advice on engaging with the province

Publishing Date

Delegates attending this year’s LGLA Forum will hear from three former cabinet ministers on how to best engage with the Province on local issues. Carole James (past Minister of Finance and Deputy Premier), Terry Lake (past Minister of Health) and Mike Bernier (past Minister of Education) will share their thoughts during the panel“Engaging with the Province: Observations from the Balcony.”

This session will provide food for thought for local elected leaders devising engagement strategies for the newly elected Provincial Government. James, Lake and Bernier have several decades of combined experience both in cabinet and opposition and will be sure to provoke insights for local elected leaders.

The Local Government Leadership Forum is scheduled for March 12-13, 2025 in Richmond. More session announcements and program details to come.
