UBCM, in partnership with the Forest Enhancement Society of BC (FESBC), is looking for a local elected official to be the voice of communities on its Board of Directors. The successful candidate will have a strong interest in using forestry to achieve social objectives such as climate action, protecting communities from wildfire, forest recreation, wildlife habitat, Indigenous reconciliation, etc.
In addition to meeting the above requirements, the successful candidate must be willing to serve a 3-year term starting in late Fall 2022 and allocate 6 days/year to participate in meetings and other FESBC board obligations. Reimbursement will be provided for expenses associated with the appointment and a stipend will be provided.
Interested local elected officials are asked to submit an expression of interest to Marie Crawford, General Manager, UBCM Richmond Operations by September 15th.
