WHEREAS the effects of the Mountain Pine Beetle epidemic, present and future, are well known; AND WHEREAS government response has been vague: THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that UBCM lobby the provincial government to be specific and bold in its response to the Mountain Pine Beetle epidemic by publicly stating its intention to support northern communities individual and regional plans to restructure their economies.
