Single Business License Initiative

WHEREAS the Ministry of Small Business and Revenue has proposed the Single Business Licence Initiative; AND WHEREAS this regulation may impact revenue levels, particularly in smaller municipalities, and will result in a loss of councils authority to refuse, suspend or cancel a business licence and ultimately govern over each of their communities: THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the Ministry of Small Business and Revenue be requested to abandon the Single Business Licence Initiative and allow local governments to continue to issue and regulate business licences in each of their own communities.
