WHEREAS local government representatives attend conferences for an opportunity to meet with senior levels of government; AND WHEREAS federal ministers or senior officials do not attend the Union of BC Municipalities Conventions: THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the UBCM invite federal ministers and senior officials, in ministries relevant to the members, to attend annual conferences and to request that the ministersofficials be available for appointments with local government representatives.
