WHEREAS there are a variety of methodologies used throughout the Province to set remuneration levels for elected officials at the municipal level; THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that UBCM urge the provincial government to include in the Terms of Reference of the Municipal Auditor General responsibility for determining the most appropriate methodology for establishing remuneration levels for municipal councils.
