Property Transfer Tax

WHEREAS the provincial government has received significant revenue from the Property Transfer Tax in rural areas; AND WHEREAS local governments are continually challenged to meet the costs of infrastructure projects: THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that UBCM lobby the Province to return 5 of the Property Transfer Tax to the rural areas from which it has been collected to form a fund to be used for local infrastructure projects.
