Property Taxation

WHEREAS a review of property taxation throughout the Province of British Columbia is long overdue; AND WHEREAS a review is needed as homeowners are paying more and more taxes, and local governments have not seen an increase in monies returned to the community from the Province; AND WHEREAS, consideration should be given to a system wherein a percentage of the British Columbia Property Transfer Tax be made available to the communities in which it is raised: THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the provincial government be urged to review property taxation throughout the Province.
