WHEREAS the Province of British Columbia has unveiled a memorialstatue to fallen BC fire fighters that only recognizes career firefighters; AND WHEREAS nearly 75 of the fire fighters in this province are volunteers, and further, a total of 67 volunteer fire fighters have died while in the line of service: THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the Province of British Columbia be urged to formally recognize the contributions and sacrifices of all volunteer fire fighters, whether, community, industrial or military.
