WHEREAS the influence of use and solicitation of hard drugs such as Crystal Meth is infiltrating into rural British Columbia communities and detrimentally affecting the lives of individuals and families alike; AND WHEREAS addicted youth are making unhealthy choices such as prostitution, and committing criminal offences to support organized crime activities: THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the provincial government petition the federal justice system to ensure that the legislated maximum penalties are imposed for convictions of criminal drug related charges.
