Whereas holding the Union of British Columbia Municipalities UBCM annual conference in Whistler is cost prohibitive for many small municipalities and other participants; And whereas the additional environmental impact of driving to Whistler from Vancouver for participants who fly is contrary to reducing carbon emissions: Therefore be it resolved that UBCM conferences be held in municipalities limited to the Metro Vancouver Regional District or the Capital Regional District or similar venues.
