Infrastructure Funding

WHEREAS the provincial and federal governments have announced intentions to offer infrastructure stimulus funding to municipal governments, but retain approximately 92 cents of every taxation dollar paid by Canadians: THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that offers of infrastructure stimulus funding from the provincial and federal governments be made significantly in the form of 100 funding formulas to eliminate the need for municipalities to increase local taxes to match such stimulus funding.
