Provincial Response

Ministry of Municipal Affairs The liveaboard lifestyle provides British Columbians with a unique housing option but can sometimes result in environmental and social impacts along the British Columbia coastline. The Province recognizes that all orders of government play a role in addressing these impacts. Depending on the needs of the community, the Province recommends that local governments work with the applicable provincial and federal agencies with jurisdiction to resolve specific issues. This approach has previously been taken by individual local governments in British Columbia.
