Whereas the federal government has released new, mandatory standards for all railroad crossings; And whereas economic conditions foresee an increase in railway traffic going through communities: Therefore be it resolved that UBCM request the federal government to provide funding opportunities that will allow communities to upgrade the crossings to meet their new, required standards.
