Carbon Tax Neutrality for Health Authorities

WHEREAS the Province of BCs Carbon Tax is to be applied to the health authorities of British Columbia, effective 2011; AND WHEREAS carbon taxation of local health authorities will result in money that will not be going into direct health care: THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the UBCM request that the Province of British Columbia insist that health authorities of British Columbia work toward carbon neutrality, but not be penalized by having to pay the carbon tax.
