WHEREAS the Council of the Village of McBride recognizes that there is a great deal of research and concern regarding the effects of microwave radiation; AND WHEREAS the Council of the Village of McBride also recognizes that there is an equal amount of research and information showing that Smart Meters are safe: THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the Council of the Village of McBride refer the issue of installation of BC Hydro Smart Meters to UBCM so that consistent response can be provided by all communities in British Columbia to BC Hydro regarding the concerns and safeguards relating to the Smart Meter Program.
