UBCM is seeking to appoint up to seven local government staff members to its Cannabis Policy Technical Working Group. The Working Group was recently established by the UBCM Executive to consult with the provincial government on an as-needed basis regarding new and ongoing policy issues.
The purpose of the Working Group is to provide a forum for local governments to raise issues and concerns related to non-medical cannabis, and engage with the provincial government regarding relevant policy issues. In appointing members to the Working Group, consideration will be given towards ensuring representation from throughout British Columbia, and from communities of all sizes.
Interested parties may contact Bhar Sihota, UBCM Policy Analyst, by June 12, 2020. The UBCM Executive will consider Working Group appointments at an upcoming meeting.
