Local governments that own or operate their own thermal energy (TES) may wish to take part in the TES guideline review presently underway by the BC Utilities Commission.
A TES consists of equipment or facilities for the production, generation, storage, transmission or distribution of heat, hot water and/or cooling from one or more thermal energy sources. These energy sources may include waste heat, renewable (solar, geoexchange, biomass) as well as non-renewable energy sources.
Please go to the BCUC website for further information about this review. Interested parties must register for intervener status by January 31, 2020.
