Study session on climate change & Asset Management

Asset Management BC is delivering a workshop focused on the environmental influences on asset management in BC. The session, entitled Natural Capital, will be led by AMBC’s Doug Allin, CAO of the Township of Spallumcheen.

The workshop runs 9:30am-Noon Thursday, June 16th, and is the 2nd in a series of three offered Doug will be joined by:

  • Megan Chorlton, Director of Member Services & General Counsel, MIABC, who will explore local government liability risks arising from climate change;
  • Caroline Jackson, Manager of Environmental Sustainability at the City of North Vancouver, will be addressing how communities can future-proof for climate change; and
  • Emanuel Machado, the Chief Administrative Officer & Chief Resiliency Officer of the Town of Gibsons, and Chair of the Municipal Natural Assets Initiative (MNAI) will discuss the development of a natural asset dashboard.   

The workshop runs 9:30am-Noon Thursday, June 16th, and is the 2nd in a series of three offered by Asset Management BC. All sessions are open to staff and elected officials. Registered participants who cannot make the actual session will receive the recorded material within 24 hours of its conclusion.

The cost for the workshop is $75+GST.
