Local governments are invited to participate in the development of the Ministry of Education and Child Care’s ChildCareBC Facility Design Guidelines.
The Ministry is seeking input to:
- Confirm that the guidelines support the development of a quality child care facility, and
- Obtain feedback on a proposed approach to implementing the design guidelines.
Local governments are invited to attend a consultation session to provide input on the Facility Design Guidelines draft principles and considerations for implementation. The session will include a brief presentation, followed by an opportunity for participants to provide feedback on questions related to design guidelines and the proposed implementation approach. This conversation will focus on the technical guidelines and their implementation, and staff involved in the development of facilities are encouraged to attend.

- Urban Local Governments: Monday, June 19, 2023, 1 – 3pm
- Rural Local Governments: Tuesday, June 20, 2023, 10:30am – 12:30pm
