Congratulations to the 2022 winners of the Climate & Energy Action awards presented by the Community Energy Association.
Climate Adaptation: The District of West Vancouver for its Foreshore Development Permit Area and Sea Level Rise Adaptation Policy. Honourable mention to the Lhoozk'uz Dene Nation for Leadership in Climate Change Adaptation, Bioenergy, and Bioeconomy.
Community Planning and Development: The City of Victoria and the District of Saanich for Greater Victoria District 2030. Honourable mention to the City of Kamloops for its Big Moves Investments.
Corporate Operations: The City of Victoria for its Green Fleet Plan.
In addition, a special recognition was presented to the BC First Nations Leadership Council for the first-of-its-kind Climate Strategy and Action Plan it published earlier this year.
