The CleanBC Organic Infrastructure and Collection Program will provide up to $25.7 million in funding, over three years, for new or expanded organics processing infrastructure and residential curbside collections programs. The BC Ministry of Environment and Climate Change Strategy will host a webinar on Thursday, October 29th, from 1:30pm -2:30pm to introduce this new program.

Eligible applicants - Indigenous governing bodies, regional districts and municipalities - working in the areas of waste management and/or infrastructure planning are invited to participate in the webinar.  Funding will be provided through cost-sharing arrangements, with the province providing up to two-thirds of eligible project costs and applicants contributing the remaining one-third.

The Program guide and supporting tools are now available on the Ministry of Environment and Climate Change Strategy website and the application phase has now begun.

Application intake will be open as follows:

  • For the Residential Curbside Collection stream until January 12, 2021
  • For the Organic Processing Infrastructure stream until January 14, 2021
