Whereas the costs of DNA analysis services are steadily increasing; And whereas the Province of BC has announced it will only contribute 1.36 million per annum, regardless of the actual costs: Therefore be it resolved that UBCM advocate on behalf of all local governments for the Province of British Columbia to index their contribution to the rising costs of DNA analysis services.
