Whereas emergency preparedness is a concept promoted by all levels of government; And whereas a well prepared community allows our emergency responders time to respond to the most critical emergency calls first: Therefore be it resolved that the Federation of Canadian Municipalities and UBCM ask other orders of government to eliminate all provincial and federal taxes for the purchase of bona fide emergency preparedness kits.
