Financial Assistance for MESA Calls

WHEREAS the number of first responder or medical emergency calls the Village of Canal Flats responds to represents 75 of all calls received by the Village of Canal Flats rescue services for the FireRescue Department; AND WHEREAS the Village of Canal Flats and other local governments incur significant direct costs as a result of responding to rescueMESA calls: THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the Province of BC provide financial assistance for a fair and equitable cost recovery to compensate small municipalities for MESA calls.
