WHEREAS provincial legislation and local regional district bylaws do not provide adequate protection for community watersheds and water supplies: THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that UBCM request the provincial government to amend all applicable legislation in order to increase the power of local governments and water suppliers to manage and control lands surrounding and influencing community watersheds and water supplies.
