WHEREAS water demands are increasing in British Columbia; AND WHEREAS the United States and other nations wish to have water declared as a commodity under free trade agreements: THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that UBCM call on the federal and provincial governments to refuse to discuss any free trade negotiations to commodify water.
