WHEREAS pesticides are widely available with few restrictions or conditions applied to their sale for either cosmetic or non-cosmetic uses at a time when most communities have cosmetic pesticide bans in place; AND WHEREAS communities dont have the power or resources to ban, restrict or control the sale of these dangerous chemicals: THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the provincial government ban the over the counter retail sale of these dangerous chemicals and severely restrict access to them through training programs and licensing.
