Carbon Tax Revenue Sharing

WHEREAS the provincial government has now imposed a carbon tax which should be revenue neutral; AND WHEREAS a carbon tax imposed on local government services will have a direct impact on property tax: THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the UBCM urge the Province of British Columbia to ensure that any carbon tax imposed should be shared with local governments under a carbon tax revenue sharing agreement.
