Funding for Food Protection

WHEREAS abnormally high snow packs have accumulated throughout much of British Columbia and well above normal spring runoff has occurred in many river basins; AND WHEREAS many communities are vulnerable to the threat of flooding from the Fraser River: THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the provincial government be requested to develop a long-term, sustainable funding program that will enhance flood protection measures into the future.
