OMMA Representation on SIDIT Regional Advisory Committee

WHEREAS the provincial government, through the Ministry of Economic Development, has created the Southern Interior Development Initiative Trust to give communities the funding and the ability to support strategic investment in regional economic development It is expected the 50 million dollar fund will be used to leverage partnerships and other investments with the private sector and other government partners.; AND WHEREAS the Okanagan Mainline Municipal Association is the area association representing all municipalities and regional districts within the south central interior of British Columbia and its mandate includes the coordination of communication, education and assistance of its members in the provision of good government for our citizens: THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the Ministry of Economic Development be urged to provide the Okanagan Mainline Municipal Association one seat on the Southern Interior Development Initiative Trusts Regional Advisory Committee.
