Mineral Licence Application Process

WHEREAS it is the practice of the Mineral Titles Branch of the Ministry of Energy, Mines and Petroleum Resources not to refer mineral licence applications to local governments until the work permit stage: THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the Union of BC Municipalities petition the provincial government to seek input from local governments prior to mineral licences being granted and to request that affected local governments be consulted on all mineral licences at the application stage.
