Allocation of Policing Costs

WHEREAS policing costs within the Province of British Columbia are not shared equally among the population they serve; AND WHEREAS the provincial government has recognized the need for equity and fairness and intends to implement a new financing formula for police services in rural areas and small communities: THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the Province of British Columbia implement a financing formula for policing costs based upon a per capita basis for both rural and urban communities immediately.
