Child Care Programs

WHEREAS the federal government provides funding to the Province of British Columbia for early childhood development; AND WHEREAS the provincial government has used this funding for other programs and to replace, rather than subsidize, provincial spending on child care: THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the Union of British Columbia Municipalities urge the provincial government to use the entire federal early childhood development funding it receives to supplement provincial spending on child care.
