Whereas all levels of government and society must be mobilized and coordinated to address the challenge of climate change; And whereas Esquimalt is a leader among BC communities in the adoption of sustainable practices: Therefore be it resolved that Esquimalt requests UBCM to consider the following resolutions at the 2018 UBCM Convention: That UBCM ask the province, in consultation with local governments, to implement integrated planning for all modes of transportation that is consistent with BCs legislated greenhouse gas emission reduction targets and climate action goals.
