Amendment to the Canadian Environmental Assessment Act

THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the Union of British Columbia Municipalities lobby the federal government Natural Resources Canada, Environment Canada, Fisheries and Oceans Canada and the Prime Ministers Office in support of the proposed amendments to the Canadian Environmental Assessment Act to recognize equivalency of provincial environmental assessment process on a case-by-case basis as put forward by the BC provincial government and supported by the Mining Association of BC.
