WHEREAS the region south of Williams Lake north to the Alaska border and east to the Alberta border and west to the Pacific Ocean is currently in one regional boundary; AND WHEREAS great economic and geographic differences exist within this area: THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the UBCM lobby the Ministry of Human Resources and Social Development to reconfigure the current Employment Insurance regional boundaries to reflect the geographic and economic differences inherent in British Columbia.
