WHEREAS the standard of highway maintenance appears to have dropped this winter compared to previous years; AND WHEREAS the Ministry of Transportation is responsible for highway maintenance: THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the Union of British Columbia Municipalities ask the Ministry of Transportation to ensure that there is adequate winter maintenance on provincial highways.
